Mental Health Workshops
Empowering your workforce to meet the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
Build confidence, capability and compassion across your organisation.
Hammond Innovations delivers Mental Health First Aid training, developed by Mental Health First Aid Australia, designed for organisations supporting adults aged 65+ — including those living with dementia, confusion, mental ill health or complex psychosocial needs.
This training equips teams with the skills to recognise early warning signs, intervene safely, and respond with confidence when mental health concerns arise.
Why this training matters?
Many organisations support older adults every day — but staff often feel under‑prepared to respond when mental health issues escalate.
Mental Health First Aid training helps organisations to:
-
Improve staff confidence and capability
-
Support early intervention and safer responses
-
Reduce stigma around mental illness and distress
-
Strengthen wellbeing outcomes for older people
-
Build healthier, more resilient workplace cultures
Evaluations show MHFA training improves knowledge, confidence and supportive action across workplaces.
